While most people will inevitably and unfortunately experience hair loss in their lives, an estimated 40 percent of women will actually experience hair loss by the time they reach their 40s.
If people looked closely at their shower drains and their bathroom sinks, they might discover that these two places are where a lot of their hair ends up going, especially for women. Everyone has a normal amount of hair loss because of brushing out hair with combs and/or shampooing hair often. However, this seemingly innocuous amount of hair loss can increase if we are particularly harsh to our scalps in our haircare routines.
In reality, most everyone has daily hair loss. Most people only believe that they are losing more hair than other people because they are seeing their collection of lost in mostly one place. The average individual losses somewhere between 100 and 150 hairs per day.
However, if you believe that you are losing more than between 100 and 150 hairs per day, it would not be a bad idea to consult a doctor’s opinion on the matter. Sometimes, though not always, hair loss can be caused by an illness, medications, a thyroid condition, etc.
However, it is important to note that there is actually a noticeable difference between hair loss and what is known as hair shedding. Most people’s hair loss is actually just hair shedding, which is just temporary and part of the normal hair growth cycle process. The first step of this cycle starts after the Anagen, or the growing, phase of the hair growth cycle has been completed. Next, the hair follicle enters the Catagen, or the transition, phase of the hair growth cycle. This is the phase where the hair follicle shrinks and also detaches from the dermal papilla.
While this daily routine of hair shedding is usually temporary, hair loss of any kind can also be caused by internal bodily issues, like a poor diet, stress, or hormonal issues.
Unfortunately, hair also thins as we age. In such cases, hair growth vitamins and/or hair growth supplements have proven to be effective when added to your daily routine. These substances help nourish thinning hair follicles, as well as prevent future hair loss.
Viviscale Extra Strength is a prime example of one of these substances that helps promote hair growth, while also reducing hair shedding for women.
If hair loss runs in your family, it is entirely possible that you will lose more of your hair in time. While women may see the hair on their head begin to thin, men are more likely to see bald spots pop up here and there. Men can, in contrast to women, begin to suffer hair loss as early as their teenage years or in their 20s.
