Found on Monat’s official website is a page dedicated to the science behind their products. The page cites trademarked ingredients like Procataline, Crodasorb, Capixyl, and Rejuveniqe. Monat claims that these ingredients perform vital functions to nourish the scalp, protect against premature hair thinning, shield hair from UV damage, and promote hair follicle health. Unfortunately, there is no in-depth discussion of how the ingredients work to support the claims.
Where Do I Get Monat?
Monat Global has established a loyal following by selling through multi-level marketing channels. They convert enthusiastic customers to sales associates who primarily sell the products through social media. The Controversy
Monat is available for purchase in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. Recently there has been a growing number of consumers, especially in the United States, who have experienced adverse effects from using Monat products. Some reports claim scalp scabbing, sores, and balding. In May 2018, inspectors from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) visited B & R Products, a Monat manufacturing plant near Miami. The FDA report from this visit outlines unsanitary conditions. At least 11 lawsuits have been filed against Monat.
